Sun - March 31, 1918 Easter Sunday, eggs for breakfast. work in the hospital for one of the boys. Mr. & Mrs. Thompson of Seattle came out to see me. We drove around the camp. then they went home and I had to go back to the hospital until 7.P.M. start to write to Berniece Mon - Apr. 1, 1918 drill all morning trying to snow. finish letter to Berniece and mail it. read a book & go to bed. didn't get fooled at all today. Had our first French lesson today. |
Tue - Apr. 2, 1918 drill all morning go out with the Co. to make a ball field and lay down in the sun and go to sleep. start a letter to Berniece & go to bed. Put in quarentine today for "S.F." Wed - April 3, 1918 fatigue all morning painting everything we can find with white- wash. paint all the rocks around the barracks. sneak out of quarentine and go swimming in the lake. got a letter from Berniece and answered it. wrote to mother and Lillian |
